TONAWANDA, NY (July 7) – Damon Piatek, President of Piatek Customs and Logistics (PCL), announced his company’s opening in the Town of Tonawanda. PCL is a full-service U.S. Customs broker, offering clearance services through all U.S. ports-of-entry.
“Even though U.S. customs is a necessary part of the process for bringing any and all imported goods into the country, there are not really a lot of licensed brokers around – and very few for whom the role is about anything more than filing paperwork,” said Piatek. “We are thrilled to be bringing our solutions, our expertise and our customer-first service to the marketplace with the official opening of Piatek Customs and Logistics.”
Piatek is a licensed U.S. Customs broker and expert in import compliance, with more than 25 years’ experience in supply chain. He also serves as chairman of the board for World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara. His new company, PCL, is a full-service U.S. Customs broker (24 hour), also offering FTL and LTL services throughout the U.S., cargo insurance and import/export, supply chain and compliance consulting.
The opening of PCL marks the first time that Piatek brings freight and warehousing services underneath his company’s umbrella, positioning the business as a “one-stop shop” for logistics and international trade.
“While I have plenty of experience in freight, in building the customs brokerage from the ground up, I was approached by many colleagues proposing partnerships that aligned with our vision,” Piatek said. “Your network is everything, and the support we’ve received has enabled us to look more broadly at our service offerings. While customs and customs compliance are still our foremost areas or expertise, now we’re able to offer additional solutions to our clients.”
While based in Western New York, PCL works with importers throughout the U.S., serving all ports-of-entry.
